Each year, on 1 December, the world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses. World AIDS Day remains as relevant today as it’s always been; reminding people and governments that HIV has not gone away. There is still a critical need for increased funding for the AIDS response, to increase awareness of the impact of HIV on people’s lives, to end stigma and discrimination and to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV a session on AIDS/HIV Awareness Program under the banner of Red Ribbon Club was organised by St.Vincent Pallotti College,Raipur on 16.12.2021. The Chief guest of the Session was Mrs.Neetu Madavi Assistant Director Youth Affairs,Chattisgarh State AIDS Control Society,Kalibadi Raipur. The other dignitaries present were Principal Dr.Kuldeep Dubey, Asst.Director Rev.Father Roshan Kindo, Mr.Girish Chandra NCC Constable, and Special Days Committee Convener Mrs.Garima Tahiliani of St.Vincent Pallotti College, Raipur.

The Principal Dr.Kuldeep Dubey welcomed the guest with his beautiful words and shared his words of wisdom with all members present.

The chief guest addressed all the students & faculty members. She shared valuable information related to AIDS/HIV with everyone. She highlighted on the major causes of HIV and about the preventive measures to control virus. Overall it was a very informative session.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Anil Chandrakar,Asst.Professor of the college.
